Caganerwatch 2012 - Catchup [potential TMI]
Today I awoke hungry, tired and a bit bilious, and all for a reason.
Sunday night, beginning at around 21:00, I began to feel an excruciating pain on the right side of my abdomen which would not go away. I had to go into hospital, and I was discharged on Monday. I spent the rest of the week so far feeling very uncomfortable and sore.
My discharge was not the only thing that happened. I began puking up quantities of runny blackish-brown liquid with gritty bits in. Turned out to be gallstones. I think I may have passed at least one, but my bile duct has so far settled down somewhat.
This week has been a real test of my fortitude, particularly my intestinal fortitude - it took me until today, for the first time, with the generous aid of some figs, to finally begin to pass stools.
However, I would like to reassure you all that I have set foot on the path to recovery.
And that, for the first time in all of my Caganerwatch posts, the caganer of the day is ... ME!
