Anniversary Runup
In a short time, this blog turns nine years old. The Plainclothes Clown began posting here on January 28, 2004. It was a very different world back then for me.
I was in work, though I would not be in work for much longer; we still had plenty of SF on television, with repeats of Star Trek; and television still mattered to me, though clearly the interest was beginning to wane.
My early blogging attempts were mostly memes and quizzes - the usual crap people post loads of when they are starting to show their faces, much as people post inane pictures of their lunch or pictures of cats on Facebook today. I did not open my own Facebook account until about 2006 or thereabouts, so pretty much everything I did publicly was through LJ.
And we still had six people in my family. My brother was still alive, back then. If I could travel back in time, I'd probably tell my younger self of nine years ago to take better care of Sean on January 23 2011, though knowing me I would have likely forgotten that little warning on the day or something.
So much has happened in the last nine years. One blog is not enough to contain them all.
Which is what I'll be posting about in my next blog entry.
