Margaret Thatcher - A Tasteful Eulogy

Today we mourn the passing
Of Margaret Hilda Thatcher
The Argies couldn't beat her
Nor the I.R.A. dispatch her
So in her loving memory
I wrote this little song
To ask about her life and death
And why she took so long

(To the tune of 'Que Sera, Sera)

When I was just a little boy
She was a bastard stealing my drink
Stern looking jacket
Serious wig
Eyelids that never blink

Burn in hell my dear
There's no one to mourn you here
The tears are insincere
Burn in hell my dear

Then I grew up and i learned more
Unemployed miners, poll tax and vice
Stole from the poorest
Gave to the rich
Warm as a block of ice

Burn in hell my love
We're partying far above
That box fits you like a glove
Burn in hell my love

Then you retired and failed to die
You left the country holding its breath
Were you a vampire?
Were you a sith?
Had you a deal with death?

But you're dead my sweet
A nation will fail to weep
They'll bury you nice and deep
Concrete's fairly cheap

Too soon?
