There's no reason people can't have the clothing styles of the Roaring 20s and the vision of this new year, new decade. Steampunk is all things past mixed with the future, and there's no reason people can't take the best things about the past (fashion) and melt it with punching neo-Nazis in the face and restoring this planet to something beautiful instead of the cesspool humans have turned it into. There is no guarantee that the future will be the future of Star Trek (another TV show with aesthetics that people like, just like Peaky Blinders, which I do like -- I like both, in fact) where everything is peaceful most of the time. The Human Factor in anything can turn a good idea into an exploitation of the weaker parts of society. History has proven that.

Let people have the Gatsby clothes styles...while digging the heels of their shoes into a white supremacist's face. What could be more fun than that?
