So okay, they're all tinned, but ...
Sunday luncheon for me was a platter of mixed beans, peas and carrots, served with half a tin of butter beans in lieu of spuds, one thin slice of beef and a single ladling of gravy.
The gravy was a bit of an emergency, because the first gravy we tried had this dreadful rancid aftertaste to it, so we chucked it away. Gravy Mk 2 today was, sadly, gravy granules. The beans were a bit too sugary for me, and the gravy just a touch too salty, but I prepared it.
I didn't eat too much, so I'm still maintaining a continuous rolling hunger, without too much of an edge to it.
And it would seem to be having an effect.
The item below is a length of chain, about one metre long (39 inches).

I wear it as a trouser belt.
Until Friday, I was wearing it out to its full length, carabiners at both ends and all. However on Saturday, I shortened it by taking away the unattached D ring (bottom part of picture). It still wasn't enough, so I took in a link at the top end as well. At that point, the belt was a snug fit, as it had been when I'd first made it.
This morning, I realised that the belt was, once again, loose fitting around my waist. It won't be long before I'm having to take it in another notch.
If I carry on like this, I might just be able to shorten this length of chain permanently by taking bolt cutters to links. I'm looking forward now to warmer days, when I can show off the improvements to my body and compare and contrast with the photos taken of me last August.

Awesome, hon...
