Lines of Enquiry

Something that was spoken last night, at the competition, piqued my interest. I have some phone numbers and email addresses, and I am pursuing an interesting line of enquiry.

Can't say very much more at this point, because I really don't want to jinx things right now. I'm going to make a phone call at about 15:45 or so.

Enough time to cook up some noodles for my tea.

True story:

I went out with a girl a while back who was deeply religious. She went to church every Sunday and special holidays with her family like clockwork. It was really important to her that I partake in this endeavor. I said "Sure."

So one Christmas Eve we are with my family. Drinks are being passed around. LOTS of drinks. Every beer I drank however, my GF would say "Marc! Please don't drink so much. I don't want you sick tomorrow morning because we have to go to church!" She repeated this all night and by my 4th or 5th beer, she got visibly upset and started crying. I told her to not fret. I hail from proud French-Canadian stock who are well known to hold their liquor. This would not appease her so I stopped drinking.

The next morning I went with her and her family to church. She was so happy. We waited in our pews until the priest showed up... ...except it wasn't their regular priest.

He steps up to the pulpit and says.

"Hello everyone, I am Father Brad. Father Micheal asked me to stand in for him this morning because he had a little bit too much to drink last night..."

Now picture me laughing my ass off....
