Doctor Who - "Ancient North Martian"

During the latest Doctor Who episode, "The Waters of Mars," the Doctor said something in an alien language - Ancient North Martian.

Phonetically, it sounded like "Vood-WAAR oon-SHOCHT oon-AAAAAAARN, udon-EENCH OCH fortobeloNEEN vood-WAARN." I'd probably have written it something like "Vudwahr unshocht unahrn, udoneench och fortobelonin vudwarn."

I'd love to see how that line was written in David Tennant's script. :)

It may well be like the old ST:TNG scripts that had [insert technobabble] in them and be written as

Doctor: [make alien sounding noises]

Heh

Which, as Kahless would say, is [insert exceptionally crude Klingon invective pertaining to the scriptwriters' mothers and sisters here].

Speaking of Klingons, did you hear about the guy who taught his son Klingon before English?

D'Armand Speers of the KLI. :) Yes. I just had a chat with him about locative suffixes. He's been working with the company that's been creating a Klingon translator app for the iPhone.

Yeah, I read that followup bit today. Kinda nifty. Now tell him to get it released on the droid's OS too.

I'd have to join the queue. There are people on that list who want it released on Windows, Linux and the Mac as well.
