Actually, if Trickster had been there, every single one of those boxes would have been pointing at him - and he'd have had to clone himself so he could also look down at Trickster, just because he wanted to join in the fun and see what all the fuss was about.
And of course the other irony is that the very top and the very bottom mirror each other - where do you draw the line between a self-styled 'bon vivant' and a junkie? or a mystical visionary and a schizophrenic? Often the distinction is simply one of social class and power, which those at the top like to think they are too 'enlightened' to care about.
