Some Numerical Quirks

Yesterday was, of course, 10 / 01 / 01, a binary date.

Today is 2010 / 01 /02, a palindromic number. I already observed 01:02 on 2010 / 01 / 02; tonight, I will observe 2010 / 01 / 02 20:10.

Later this year, of course, will come the chance to observe 2010 / 20 / 10, or perhaps 2010 / 10 / 20, if you want to be perverse about it.

I am suspicious of your backwards dating system. Are you American?

Nope. I just organise my files by reverse date - year / month / day / time / filename.

Hmm. Sounds perverse to me.

It keeps them in date order and name order at the same time. It's a system that works for me. :)

*nods but eyes you with caution*

that's actually the international dating system, I use that as well and it seems logical to me - start with the largest and work down i.e. year, month, day.
