And So, The 44 Show!

Woke up this morning, and I'm a day older. I have survived eleven leap years.

You may post your cries of amazement and yells of "Coffin Dodger!" here. :)

I'm so looking forward to Doctor Who tonight. I really hope the season doesn't have a shitty ending.

Perhaps I'll set the tape, record it and come back at eight, then watch the last five minutes to be sure.

Just a Little Thing

This is to remind me, in ages to come, of what happened yesterday.

Mum, Dad and I needed to go into town yesterday. We set off in the car, but along the way we realised we'd gone the wrong way into town, down Rose Hill, and we'd forgotten that we had to pick up Sam. So Dad turned the car around and went up Bryn Hedd towards Sam's place.

And here's the thing. We had to stop on the road, come to a screeching halt with Mum yelling "Stop! Stop!"

There was only a mother duck crossing the road in front of us, left to right, with her clutch of two chicks following faithfully behind, heading towards the housing project on the other side of the grassy bank to the right, presumably to some pond in someone's garden.

How ducks came to be there, I'll never know, because there isn't a body of water like a lake or river near there. The nearest one's the Aggie, and that's at least a mile away.

No, this is not a dream. This is a memory, written down to trigger the actual memory when I come to read it later on and marvel.

Rain falls everywhere
Birds coax worms out of the ground
Nature's genius

Right, then

Time for me to go off somewhere and overeat.

I might not touch alcohol, but there are plenty of other fun and exciting indulgences I can immerse myself into.
