Today's Update
Mar. 12th, 2009 07:24 pmRight. Well, where to start?
Yesterday, I got less cash in my bank account than I thought I was getting. Today, I phoned up and it was confirmed that the error was at their end. I checked my bank account today - all is square in the bank, at least. I am somewhat relieved.
The top priorities for today were that phone call first, and completing and sending off the vacancy application form second. I have done the latter: I handed it in, in person.
I can reveal, hopefully without jinxing it, that the vacancy being applied for is at my old alma mater, Glyndwr College. I won't say what for, or how much, only that the due date is tomorrow.
I also got in touch with one of my former employers tonight, and let them know their services might be required if, in the near future, the college puts out requests for references. Just on the off chance, I think I'll send out a gentle feeler to one of my earlier employers, Hicks Randles, Chartered Accountants, with whom I was once gainfully employed designing their web site and intranet architecture some time ago.
So, with all the phone calls made for today, and all the documentation handed in, I can finally sit back and relax tonight. Perhaps I might even be lucky and get to sleep the whole night long tonight. Though I can never guarantee that.
