The Rat Finally Fades Into Deserved Obscurity

First, he screwed up the employment system while he was head of the DWP. Britain's still recovering from his dire, short-sighted machinations.

Then, as he walked out of Brown's cabinet, he turned and stabbed the PM with a spiteful, sneaky attack - one that left him, Purnell, disgraced and humiliated when the PM survived the coup d'etat of pussies.

Now, a back bencher in obscurity, he finally gets the hint and stands down. I only wish there was nothing waiting for him on his return home. No job, no consultancy position, just £60 a week UAB and weekly harassment from Pauline the Restart Officer down at the DWP.
