Happy Autumnal Equinox, everybody!

Short update on my comings and goings so far today.

Right. So, first, college. Some stuff going on there right now. I can't say more, for fear of jinxing it, but if this works out, this year could be very exciting. And if it doesn't work out, I have many other options to explore with Glyndwr.

Second, next to Glyndwr Uni is Sainsbury's. They have sweetcorn in the husk, 50p each, 3 for £1. I went crazy. I have been eating sweetcorn all night. I'll still have 2/3 of the sweetcorn I bought left by tonight, and I'm having that tomorrow and, I hope, Thursday. Providing it doesn't pick up a bloom. Sweetcorn is so perishable :).

Third, Vedic Mathematics. I'm still working on the next few lessons in mental arithmetic to be posted here - expect the next one very soon, followed by an interlude and something remarkable and fun to know - but today, I cracked something even more marvellous.

I can't tell you about it just yet, because I still haven't got the right word for it yet, and my knowledge of this thing is not yet complete, but, to summarise ...

Vedic Mathematics. One-line quick division by a two-digit number.
I has cracked it, I think.

I've still got one hell of a lot to do, to explain how to do this in as simple a manner as possible, but this is a huge new development for me, because it's a new way (for me) of doing long divisions that vastly cuts down on the time taken and even confines the division process to a single line, more or less.

I'm jumping up and down here, because this is something so new to me. I used to hate long division, and I was dreading getting to the stage where I had to look up how VM approaches the issue, but this is so simple that even a dotard like me can learn it in a few seconds.

And I'll bet that you'll be able to master it, when I show it to you, even more quickly.

But first, chapter 003 - multiplication by 5 and by 7, so you can practice halving and doubling digits, and adding 5 to the column if it is odd. That comes next.
