I just came across an article on database normalisation.
Database Normalisation
When I studied at Kelsterton College, Deeside (now Deeside College, formerly part of NEWI-as-was, Glyndwr-as-is), I encountered a tutor who ... well, the phrease "mutually loathed" applies. I could not stand him. However, if that tutor knew anything, he knew databases. He lived and breathed relational databases.
And he taught me about this.
So every time I find myself normalising a flat table database into a RDB, I always think of this tutor, and I always feel gratitude for his contribution to my life.
