Choose five TV series (no peeking before you choose them), list them, and then answer the questions behind the cut.

1. Doctor Who
2. Torchwood
3. Ashes to Ashes
4. Life on Mars
5. Rome

1. Which is your favorite series from your list? And why?

2. If you were to pair two characters from 1 and 4, who would they be?

3. What is one thing you'd like to change about 3's plot line?

4. If both main characters of 2 and 5 were falling off a cliff, which one would you save?

5. Which event was the most horrible for you in 1?

6. Which is your least favourite character of 2?

7. If the antagonist of 3 were to rape the main character of 1, what would you do?

8. What song reminds you of 2?

9. Of 1, 3, and 5, which is the easiest to think about?

10. Are the protagonists of 2 and 4 similar?

1. Which is your favorite series from your list? And why?
It really varies. The series I'd most like to have complete on DVD, right now, is a tossup between Life on Mars and Rome. But I'd settle for just their respective second seasons (maybe completing my Life on Mars collection before the Ashes to Ashes DVDs come out), and for completing my Torchwood Series 1 collection before it's time to spend on the Series 2 DVDs.

2. If you were to pair two characters from 1 and 4, who would they be?
Erm, Rose Tyler and Sam Tyler? If they're related, now would be a good time to find out ...

3. What is one thing you'd like to change about 3's plot line?
Nothing. Despite the premise, it's so different to its predecessor Life on Mars. I tend to prefer sexual tension plotlines to plots where characters become involved with one another. You know that, even if two alpha protagonists don't get it on together, they'll move Heaven and Earth for one another. If they come together, things get all soapy and useless. Where an alpha dramatic relationship goes unconsummated, the alphas tend to come off stronger. Much stronger.

4. If both main characters of 2 and 5 were falling off a cliff, which one would you save?
Sorry, Jack. You've fallen from heights before, and come back. On the other hand destiny's got other plans for the likes of Mark Antony or Titus Pullo.

5. Which event was the most horrible for you in 1?
The events of the weakest episode. Oh, I'd say The Happiness Patrol, from the Sylvester McCoy seasons. That, and the entirety of the Trial of A Time Lord arc, particularly the purported death of Perpugilliam Brown. Even though it did turn out to be faked footage intended to throw the Doctor into emotional chaos, it really wrecked me at the time.

6. Which is your least favourite character of 2?
None. Each has their merits. They're all so human. Even Jack.

7. If the antagonist of 3 were to rape the main character of 1, what would you do?
I doubt that would happen. Gene Hunt's more likely to vent his frustrations by kicking in a nonce, DI Alex Price is more likely to ask The Doctor for a lift back to 2008, and as for The Doctor ... nah. You really don't want to mess with The Doctor.

8. What song reminds you of 2?
Oh, there was a brilliant soundtrack in one of the episodes of Season 1: Gorecki, by Lamb. I've got it on my MP3. It's sweet. That one will always remind me of Torchwood.

9. Of 1, 3, and 5, which is the easiest to think about?
At this moment, 3.

10. Are the protagonists of 2 and 4 similar?
In only one way. When there's trouble, both teams swing into action to take care of business. Bwyond their superficial resemblance to any "Alpha Team" story, that's it. :)

Of course once you've gone behind one cut, you'll have seen them all. So really, don't peek before you make your list.

I mean it. :)
