Oh, that is a good one. And just the thing, really, because I really need to focus on the good things in my life right now.
Erm, when I was a kid, I was the last kid to be asked by the teacher to spell the word "tongue." The reason I was last picked was because the teacher was an utter bastard. He's likely dead now. Dead, and perhaps in Hell. Who cares.
Also, the reason why I was last picked was because, every ... single ... time ... the kid the teacher picked got the spelling wrong.
That was good.
Getting my degree, a long time later - that was good, too.
Meeting
nyghtshayde, with whom I am currently chatting online as I type this.
Meeting, and falling in love with,
naaila. Note - I haven't fallen out of love with her. We're just no longer dating, is all. She is free. Nonetheless, I still love her so much.
Getting into roleplaying games. Getting into Traveller. Getting into Discordianism. Embracing my blood heritage as a Proffwyd.
Learning tlhIngan Hol. Learning Esperanto. Learning other languages. French and Latin especially. I love those languages. Spanish and Portuguese, too. Oh, and Japanese.
Befriending
lady_gaslight.
Befriending
jesshartley.
Associating with everyone on my f'list.
Still being able to work out mental maths in my head. Numbers are fun. Hells, even getting them wrong is fun because it means you need to sharpen up.
Coming up with what I did for Dogs of War, Hunter: the Vigil and ... that other book.
Meeting and befriending
renfield286 about ten years or so back.
Being present when my nephew was born.
Getting online, and carving out a presence here.
Conventioneering.
Appearing on TV.
Writing.
Having people here and in the Matrix to love.
And loving them, without asking to be loved in turn.
Those are all the things I can think of right at this moment. My fingers are flying across the keyboard - depression may hold back a lot of things, but most emphatically not my typing speed. :)
