fiat_knoxI had a crappy medical interview and checkup today. I hope things went well for me. If not, I guess it means a whole new phase of my life is about to begin. I just hope it won't be a phase of my life that I will be viewing from the inside of a cardboard box or something.
Worst case scenario, I'll buy a tent and ask the folks to put me up in the back yard.
So, to cheer me up, I found a book detailing the history of mathematics. This goes well with some other books I have, particularly Zero. I want to get The Music of The Primes next, and/or The Infinite Book - books on subjects mathematical that I find very interesting.
I so miss my copy of Rudy Rucker's "Infinity and The Mind." That book introduced me to the concepts of transfinite numbers and infinitesimals. It was brilliant. It really was.
Not long now. I'll be watching CSI Miami, and the return of The Shades of Justice. :D
