Last Night's "Merlin"

fiat_knoxOkay, so in last night's episode of Merlin on BBC1, the evil sorceress Nimueh (Michelle Ryan) decides to try and poison Merlin, to take out the competition.
She does so with a rather cunning plan. She puts a pellet of poison into a vessel.
The what with the what?
I did not look too closely to see if it had a pestle, but I'm sure that the chalice from the palace had the brew that was true. Or was it the flagon with the dragon?
I'm going to watch the repeat in a minute and laugh at it all anew ...
