Invitations to attend social events, perhaps business-related, could bring surprising results, dear Cancer. You could meet more than one person who shares some of your interests, and these people could become friends. Expect some interesting discussions, both practical and philosophical. An opportunity to travel abroad or to a distant state might open up for you. This could prove to be a most exciting and stimulating day. Make the most of it!

Interestingly, I aim to head off to college tomorrow to sign up for the Alumni Association of Glyndwr College. It'll be best bib and tucker time, because if they go the way I suspect they will, they'll be taking my photo for a card.

I'm also going to see what I can do with the Fitness Centre when I'm there as well.

I have been looking for a spot where I can write. You know, that sort of place where you can sit down and just forget about the day, just let the words come out because that's all there is in the world - just you and your words, pouring out onto the paper or the screen.

I now have a laptop. I won't care if there's no WiFi access for me, or if all the terminals are occupied. I only need a power point to plug my laptop in and I'm away. I'll be doing all the creating.

All the facilities. When I'm hungry, there's the Cafe Darganfod or maybe one of the other little eateries about the place; and when I need to work out, with a little luck, the Fitness Centre will accept me with this Fresh Start scheme based on my medical referral from the doctor (and if not, there's still the discount for Alumni Association membership ...)

Also, tomorrow I'm going to take out this £15 North West weekly saver bus ticket. And then I'm going to see how far I can go with it during the week, really working it to get the very most out of it. That's if I'm not in college at the time.

It's the start of a new life: a life where the only obligation is to myself, to keep on doing. I'm sure I can make this thing really work for me.

I mean, really work for me.

You deserve a fresh start that'll hopefully turn things around for you this next year. I'm hoping for the same, if I can just get beyond these bullshit challenges Rimble set down in my path since July. The little bastard.

That all sounds very positive.
Arts centres and libraries tend to be good places to write in peace, and also usually have free wi-fi - incidentally so does Wetherspoons, but that hardly fits your criteria unless you're looking for material for a book on 'Life Stories of Sad Old Drunks' ;)

I saw you on metaquotes. You looked more interesting than the usual crap on there. I added you, just so you know.
