My camera is not a status device / faux phallic symbol. Jeremy Clarkson doesn't have a series devoted to cameras. And in 1984 they didn't devote an entire worship service in Canterbury Cathedral to one hundred years of the camera.
People worship cars, often more than their cultures' tribal deities. The only thing people seem to worship more is television, and I don't particularly care much for TV these days, either.
