"Under The Sun" RQ setting

fiat_knoxI submitted a proposal to Mongoose Publishing for a property for their RuneQuest adaptation for when it becomes Wayfarer later this year. Following in the vein of submitting a proposed Traveller setting for their Signs & Portents magazine - before they took their hiatus - I conjured up an evocative background and setting for the game, and gave them a chance to sniff at it.
The have come back telling me the setting did not "grab" them.
So, therefore, I will write a shortish - 15,000 word - fantasy fiction novelette to establish the setting, and publish it on Docstoc alongside my "Tales of The Black Freighter" along with, perhaps, a scenario for the setting. I might use the FATE engine rather than Mongoose's RQ engine.
But the novelette comes first.
