The Serenity Theme

fiat_knoxI'd like to comment on what I call "the Serenity theme," as in Firefly. It is a wonderful composition that never fails to draw an emotion from me.
The first time I heard it was the scene in the pilot, Serenity, when Mal stands up and watches the Alliance come rumbling in over Serenity Valley, crushing all of his dreams and hopes.
Second was the wonderfully upbeat version used for the theme tune for the movie, Serenity, the tune being cut short by the primary buffer panel falling off the gorram ship.
And the third time, the one that brought me to tears, was the funeral version played towards the end, when we were saying goodbye to the fallen crew of Serenity.
If there was anything that caught me and helf me fast in the web of being a fan of this whole Firefly thing, it's this theme.
