Saving Important Documents - Canon New Klingon Words

The other day I went onto the website for the Klingon Language Institute, that body concerning itself with the promotion of tlhIngan Hol, only to find that it had gone down, much to my chagrin.

I found myself fearing for the continued existence of the extended corpus of Klingon words not found in either The Klingon Dictionary or Klingon for the Galactic Traveller; words which, until that time, had been freely available as a resource for Klingonists the world over.

Wasn't it fortunate, then, that I'd managed somehow to, er, save that precious word list in time? Select, right click, copy, paste, and a precious piece of culture was saved.

I've secreted a copy of the text file somewhere online, just to keep it safe, in case my new computer should go down like the last. I do not want to lose this little dictionary.

Perhaps if I printed up those sheets.

This weekend, the Library at Alexandria burned. But at least some of the books had been checked out beforehand. reH tlhIngan Hol taHjaj!

Question: Any chance you can point me in the direction of an online Klingon dictionary with a quick to learn way of writing/speaking it? It's for...um...a...project. *grins*

Cool...Perhaps one day there will some odd little original fan/slashfic stuff to post. It's an odd relationship we've got going, but one that's definitely interesting, heating up in a fun way and is making me test my Trekkie knowledge (which is limited since I never watched any of it religiously). But it's all in fun roleplay!

I'll be working on compiling these extra new words into a printed document, in addition to it being an online resource.

I can't do much more right now, since I'm about to run out of time on this public terminal, and I'll have to get back home to finish the job.

But the outlook looks good for the Klingon language.

Never thought I'd end up having to try and save it ...
