Quotes From V For Vendetta: 3
Jan. 3rd, 2007 11:53 pm"I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none." (Macbeth 1.7.17-18)
- This is likely to be my answer when people ask me "Haven't you got a job yet?" this year. It's the single most impertinent question I'm asked.
Just because I draw nobody's pay doesn't mean I do no work, or that I spend my days idling in front of the TV doing nothing but drinking beer all day. There are things that need to be taken care of, from cleaning my flat and taking out the garbage, to doing my washing up or changing the bedsheets or getting my laundry done, to heading over to the 'rents' place on childminding duty; and I'm the only one I can count on to get anything done. But the unpaid duties I have to fulfil in my private life are still NOBODY ELSE'S BUSINESSS, all right?
The nerve of some people.
