End of the Week
Jan. 6th, 2007 12:55 pmWell, it's been a good week for the start of 2007. Here's a chance to catch up on events I haven't reported to date.
I'm hideously overspent at the end of this week after Chrimbo and the New Year's festivities, but that's okay - I'll just have to tighten my belt over the next few weeks and months until my bank balance gets back to being healthy again.
Start of the week, I found that my subscription to Fortean Times magazine had been suspended. The postie had not delivered it to my door, and had indeed returned it to the subscribers. I got it yesterday. The next issue is supposed to be on sale next week. I dunno.
Anyway, this week apart from that disappointing event in Manchester, I obtained that which I was after - a copy of a Nigel Pennick book, The Oracle of Geomancy. I wanted this book for some time, and I only found out that it was for sale in New Aeon Books the last time I went to Manchester, a few weeks before Christmas. So now I have it.
I've had an interest in geomancy for some time, particularly the weird sensations I'm getting from certain locations in town. I'm going to get back into studying geomantic divination, see what I can learn from that art, and apply that learning.
On a less serious front, I bought a spare copy of the Mage: the Awakening core book rules. My first copy is showing wear. Not bad, considering I've had it a year. The spare's going to be kept safe in the cubby hole in my flat, beside the spare Vampire and World of Darkness core book rules.
And that's basically all the news that's fit to print today. Now I'm up to date.
Addendum: Just now, I came online to add something to a thread ongoing on the Shadownessence forum. However, it appears that Shadownessence is down, once again, for no apparent reason. *sigh*
