I just woke up from a dreadful dream.
I found myself sitting in a car accompanied by two women. I sat alone in the rear passenger seat. Both women sat in the front seats.
In the dream, the road along which we drove led homewards through some village surrounded by lovely green countryside. Behind us, two Apache helicopters came out of nowhere and began attacking one another as some sort of exercise. We tried fleeing, but ahead of us more military vehicles had arrived and cut us all off; a helicopter flying beneath the arch of an overhead railway bridge, followed by an oncoming tank.
We swerved wildly, and ditched the car on the grass on the right of the bridge to avoid the oncoming helicopter and tank, ducking for cover. Then I woke up.
I'd gone to bed for about 23:00. The dream woke me up at 04:30. I'd slept maybe five and a half hours.
And I'll never know which unit won the damned exercise.
