Reminded By A Friend

I just got reminded by rhionnach - the Beeb prioritise football over other TV shows. This means that other programmes, for example Doctor Who, always get the shaft - postponed or shown at a later date, or even cancelled altogether, if the footie goes to extra time.

And there's a pigging World Cup on, isn't there?

Right. Well, I have business cards to mock up. Got to keep busy ...

Letter In The Post Today

This morning, I received a letter from Glyndwr Uni in Wrexham. Leigh Ann Hills of the Alumni Association handwrote it for me, one week on from the Open Day last Saturday.

Just a note to say a big thank you for all your help at the Open Day on Saturday.

Volunteers at events like these are invaluable but having the support of our former students really does add something extra - not least in helping to showcase what the University can offer.

Our Pro Vice-Chancellor ***** ***** noted the importance and value of having the support of our Alumni at Open Days in an all-staff email this week following on from the event - so your input into the day really didn't go unnoticed!
