Writer's Block: Riddle me this

1. Bankers getting away with huge bonuses; virtually robbing their own banks.
2. People insisting on the death penalty, and deliberately blinding themselves to the knowledge that the "deterrent" of capital punishment is nothing of the sort - merely encouraging the escalation of crime to deadly proportions because the criminals have nothing to lose.
3. TV talent shows, and people's obsession with all this nonsense.
4. The Tea Party in the States, and their equivalent over here - mad, frothing numbnuts bigots deliberately blinding themselves to reason because they believe that their minds are too weak to apply it properly themselves. Or maybe because what other people are saying makes them feel too good to want to think.
5. Politicians who have turned their backs on space. They're like people who, fearing the world, refuse to go out of their homes and spend their remaining days conserving what little resources they have in the house, knowing that when the resources run out, they will die.
6. Societies which, in general, worship the insane and the sociopathic.
7. Christina Hendricks' boobs becoming more famous than she is.
8. Overpaid professional athletes.
That'll do for me.
