Update for Saturday
Jan. 29th, 2012 01:34 pmSo. Then. The meeting.
It went well enough, I think. I could sense more than a little reluctance on the part of the club members. Clearly, Olaf Stapledon remains an acquired taste.
The bus to Chester malfunctioned on the way there, and I missed out on an early meeting with one of the club members. A shame. I'd have enjoyed that chat. She had a script for an audio play that intrigued me.
The last week or two, I have focused my attentions on the Legend roleplaying game and on my story, with some further attention paid to the Mongoose Publishing forum. I've come up with a long list of Common Magic spells that would find use in entertainment, the sort of things you'd see street magicians doing if they were really magic users.
I've also focused my attentions on my hypnosis, refining and buffing my skill at inducing trances and implanting instructions. I suspect I might have learned better than I thought - I suspect that one of the people I tranced last night did more than they were letting on over the phone. I suspect that they followed every instruction completely, but without proper feedback I could not tell.
So, then, we come to the end of the month - on Tuesday - and on Wednesday, my nephew has his 18th birthday. So whereas this week I spent time thinking about Sean, my late brother, and the anniversary of his death, this week I will be thinking of a living member of my family instead.
And in all probability I'll have more writing to do and other kinds of activities to look forward to including, I hope, trancing some new clients. Oh, and creating some more induction audio files for existing ones.
Time to sign off this post now, and watch the last episode of Sherlock on iPlayer before it gets taken down.
