Being Human Season Four Finale - Review
Mar. 25th, 2012 10:18 pm*lets out breath*
So there you have it. Season Four of Being Human finally drew to an end. And the final cast changes for the series have been completed.
Next season's lineup will be Hal, Tom and new ghost Alex. The story goes on. Not surprising that the lineup has to change. You can't have the same people being immortal and unchanging for years and years, because unlike vampires and ghosts, actors change and age with the passage of time.
The series also introduced a new foe. And Alex's unfinished business may never be completed. Department C13 or whatever they call themselves have spirited away her body. So her family may never know closure.
IF that is her unfinished business.
As for Annie ... She may not be one for following the rules, and that sounds like they're leaving the door open for her to return, but the way she signed off I think that was it for Annie. I hope that, like Russell, Sinead and Aiden, Lenora has a good future, but I doubt she'll need to reprise Annie any more.
You could say she's with George, Nina and even Mitchell. And with Eve. So Annie's story is finally over.
I was saying to someone earlier that there is nobody left from the pilot. The actors who played Annie and Mitchell were swapped out for Lenora and Aiden, respectively, when the pilot got optioned for Season 1 - only Russell remained as George, reprising his role from the pilot. And after Aiden's and Russell's departure, that only left Lenora playing the role she'd played since the first episode of the season. So now she's gone, it's a completely new lineup.
