About Coming Out As Bisexual

Conversation between me and my sister, when I came out to her.
Me: "I'm bisexual."
Sis: "Have you ever sucked a man's cock?"
Me: "No. Have you?"
Sis: "No."
*snap fingers* Bingo.
Straight, gay and bi people do some pretty weird things to bring pleasure to their lovers and themselves. But the ability to perform any specific sex act, whatever parts of the body are involved, does not define your sexuality in any way.
But there are no specific signature sex acts that define a specific sexual orientation. Straight people can perform fellatio, cunnilingus, anal penetration and use sex toys as much as gays, bisexuals and lesbians. The Missionary Position is not the exclusive signature style of the Vanilla.
What matters is just one thing. Are you entirely inclusive, partly inclusive or even only slightly inclusive? Do you welcome lovers in your life of any gender equally, do you have a general preference to one but enjoy the company of others, or do you have a strong personal preference for one gender while entertaining preferences for others?
If you consider the requirement that your lovers have to be a specific gender to be ludicrous; if you scorn the convention that your sexuality defines your tastes and style, your accent, the things you are supposed to talk about; if you love equally either and any gender; that is what makes one a bisexual. Not whether you can perform a specific kind of sex act.
