Town Today
Jan. 2nd, 2013 10:32 pmWent into town today, to get back to who I am, and what I am.
I didn't get 2000 AD today, sadly - New Year's fell on an awkward day this year - and a quick call to Fan Boy Three about a Legend book I wanted also turned up negative. I'll need to make a call again on Friday. Or maybe call Wayland's Forge in Birmingham.
I seriously wish that my home town had a roleplaying games stockist. It'd save me a fortune in rail fares.
I have the book, but only in PDF form. I might print out the important bits in the Library or something, to save cash in the interim.
I have also begun planning my birthday. I know it takes place on June 30th, but I need to begin working on getting it organised so that it won't stress me out if I start planning it closer to the day.
Tomorrow, I have another appointment which I have to attend, and an appointment on Friday afternoon which I can reschedule if I have to. Worth making a call to Wayland's Forge in Birmingham tomorrow, too, and see if the book I want is there - if so, then I will have to reschedule on Friday.
On a completely different note, I opened my 2013 diary for the first time with the words with which I will now open every new diary:-
"Dog carcass in alley this morning. Tyre tread on burst stomach. This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face ..."
Nice to start the diary with a Rorschach quote. Like I said, think I'll do this every year. :)
