Date: 2007-04-16 03:12 pm (UTC)His short story had an element of personal horror and tragedy - the degradation of feeding off human blood, the inability to face the sun, having to miss out on the narrator's daughter as she lived her life, on his wife as she grew old while he stayed youthful, the increasing alienation between them - and then his decision to greet the sun rather than go on like that.
Brilliant. :) I am so very proud of him.
