Lack of sleep. It's a blooming killer.

Last night it was a hag dream, too. It's normally bed shakers, but last night it was a hag dream.

The doctors all tell me that this is a symptom of nightly panic attacks, and something to keep an eye out for. But it's as real to me as though an ugly lump of black shadow really did detach from the corner of my room, sit on my chest like a lump of lead and begin sucking the breath out of me.

I'm in the library now. I just sent a bunch of stuff to the printer. I'm tired. I'm thinking of calling it quits really really early, heading off home.

Sounds like you need to smudge your room. Get some cedar, sage, or any favorite incense you might use in ritual, get it burning, then go to the room and start smudging. What I do is trace (in the air) each wall, window and doorway as I face them, chanting as I go. I've also used my broom (ritual) to "sweep" the negativity that collects in the corners over time. I sweep 'em right out the door and out of the house. When I do this, I usually chant, "Earth, air, fire, water." I've done this in preparing a circle, as well.

PJ's method of smudging a room is to face each of the four directions and chant "No negativity, only positive creativity" three times and then draw a pentacle with a circle around it and a dot in the center before turning to do the next direction. When she's done with the room, she visualizes a wall of thick gel filling the room from the furthest wall back, moving toward the door, catching all negativity and pushing it out through the door as she exits. She is VERY good at "cleansing" homes this way.

Let me know how it turns out, if you decide to try any of this. :)

Cheers, hon. :)

My whole pad needs a good cleaning out. Next week, it's going to get just that. Even if it takes all next week.
