I must confess to not having heard of the 'King of Voiceovers' prior to the announcement of his passing (although no doubt I have, unknowingly, heard his voice!) but was gutted to hear about Ken Campbell - what a multi-talented man, and a true Fool and Trickster.

Not sure I'll miss the "king of voiceovers" as I always thought it was a sign of a terrible movie to come, but he did have a great voice. Too bad it was stuck in shitty movie trailers for most of the time.

Some of those movie trailers were far more entertaining than the movies they advertised.

At the very least, the trailers had one virtue the movies did not.

Brevity.

It's a decent point, but it's also exactly why I was annoyed by "the voice".

I mean, the guy could have made something really impressive with it. Like the Voice of God in the Ten Commandments remake with Jean Claude Van Damme where Chuck Norris plays Ramses only as a zombie.
