A Happy Thought

This is how my imagination ran today.

Me: "Hello."

Roland Emmerich [for it is he]: "Hello."

Me: *smack*

Roland Emmerich: *gets up off the floor* "Ouch! What was that for?"

Me: "Oh. Sorry. I thought you were Uwe Boll."

Roland Emmerich: *Hardly. Uwe Boll is a hack. I am Roland Emmerich."

Me: "And what did you give us, then?"

Roland Emmerich: *I gave the world The Day After Tomorrow, and Independence Day."

Me: *SMAACK*

Roland Emmerich: *OW!" *gets up off the floor* "I TOLD you, I am NOT Uwe Boll! You are mistaken in hitting me!"

Me: "No. Actually, that second one was not a mistake."

In mitigation though, Universal Soldier was good (admittedly a long lingering shot of Jean-Claude van Damme's arse will redeem any film for me) - and he probably deserves no more than a light clip round the ear for that wonderful camp comedy Stargate ;)
