I think I'll just go back to writing for the sake of writing. No plans to get anything published. Not even The Fourth Rewrite.

If I come up with a short story, I'll add the gubbins to the front to make it a legal copyright document, and circulate it to my friends in PDF format. Probably no graphics, because I can't draw for shit, and just about enough formatting to break up the chapters into paragraphs, make them easy to read.

But publish? In book form? I doubt I'll ever do that again. Especially not as a freelancer for roleplaying games. I like my RPGs too much, and having seen what the business looks like on the inside, you can keep it. Like a lot of jobs, it's not worth any amount of money.

Of course, knowing my luck that will not be an option anyway.

I know the feeling. I am trying to work on my my own RPG, though my goal is to produce and share my my creative works and the like for it's own worth. Despite the fact that I want to produce actual books, I don't plan on making a living off the profits or even expecting any profits.

Produce for the sake of producing and you shall be happy. That is my philosophy.
