A little of both. The folks know I'm in when they get two rings and I hang up. If they need me, they text; if I'm in the flat, they call the landline and talk. It's TalkTalk like theirs, so the call costs them bupkiss.
Otherwise, I use the landline to call the ISP if they've cocked it up, ot to call the utilities companies to correct an estimated bill.

Date: 2009-06-02 01:04 pm (UTC)My main issue is coming up with what the over arching chronicle for Venice is about. So far I have made up a new Court, the Court of the Laughing Face/Court of Masks/Court of the Carnival. This court transcends all seasonal courts who instead form 'Houses' within the court. The court is led by the Doge who wears a mask that changes everyday, and those that attend court must all wear masks that within the court mask their Miens, this means noone has a clue who the Doge is or who some of the people at court are, only that because it is impossible to know who the majority of people are there can be no fear of repercussions because you're idenity is protected. This means there is shit loads of courtly intrigue to work out who said what in the court.
Add to the fact that the Lost in Venice do not have to be natives to come back there after their abduction it makes Venice a sort of nexus for the Hedge.
I'm thinking of a plot of intrigue where the Summer and Winter 'Houses' war for control of the Doge and try to work out who the current one is. Meanwhile on of the sides in teh war will be helped/backstabbed by loyalists before a Grand Hunt by the Gentry occurs in Venice.

I think as far as trods are concerned the further you go down a canal trod it would be like go down through the layers of Venice's history. So for anyone in Venice the kind of weirdness that happens in Glasgow also happens here. With bits stretching, entire canals appearing and disappearing.

Aegis Kai Doru;
The Ascending Ones;
The Lucifuge;
The Malleus Maleficarum.
Cheiron Group and Task Force: VALKYRIE have little presence here. Cheiron's primary concern there is not so much hunting critters and obtaining viable biological organs for Thaumatechnology, so much as vying with AKD to seize control of some serious Relics that are reported to be housed in a number of private art galleries scattered throughout the city.
You could mention the Cainite presence in the city: one small cell of rabid vampire hunters dwelling in a run-down tenement. Barely more than a tier one cell, were it not for their potent Denials.
