fiat_knoxJust found a website devoted to the construction of fantasy/sf languages. A very useful tool in the development of the conlang(s) I'll be developing for my Fourth Rewrite.
Here's one small spoiler: the first language I'm developing is called Andiza.
And I'm going to spoil the (provisional) title to my Fourth Rewrite now, so you can get a taste of the story.
The title of my book is Saidara Lucarei bai Atang Argei. It's an Andiza phrase: "The Gilded Saidara with The Silver Touch."
Saidara means "butterfly" in Andiza. It also means something else.
And the reason for this bit of public spoilage? I suspect a friend of mine may have had a bit of sticky fingers and taken my backup file containing the incomplete manuscript of The Fourth Rewrite. In case someone comes along and tried to get the thing published, I'm just asserting my rights to ownership of the story, and the setting, here.
Anyway, there you are. In less than half an hour, I will be adding +1 to my numerical age. Heh. The first thing I'll likely do is square 999.
No, wait. That's 998,001.
I'll have to find another number to square tomorrow.
