Lunch With Relatives

fiat_knoxLast night, the phone rang. It was a cousin of mine. One I have not met for many years. He was trying to get in touch with the folks, to let them know that all was okay and that he and his woman were in the Ramada Plaza hotel in town.
He invited the folks to come down to meet him and his girlfriend in town, in the Ramada Plaza, for lunch at 13:00. And he invited me too.
So this afternoon just gone, we all made our way to the Ramada Plaza, where we met my cousin Stephen and his partner Gwenan.
It was god to enjoy a Sunday lunch that someone else had prepared. We talked until about 3 or so, at which point Stephen and Gwenan had to leave to go home. We departed on good terms, making promises to look each other up again.
I don't recall saying very much at all during the lunch. What they must have thought of me is anybody's guess, but "quiet" is definitely one of the adjectives they may have in mind.
Now I'm back here, watching the episode of "Defying Gravity" I taped last night, and generally chatting. I'm planning tomorrow on going to Glyndwr college to buy that Old Skool Tie I promised myself some time ago, so I'm feeling a sense of anticipation. I might even take an early night to be up bright and ready for tomorrow.
