Welsh for Interpreters

I attended the lesson for Welsh language interpreters in college today - the first time I'd been in Glyndwr for a lesson, and the first time I'd been in a classroom in that building for a lesson since 1998.
Just so you know what this meant to me.
The room was already occupied by the time I'd managed to get there - walking all the way from the flat in Hightown, through town to the college. The tutor was there, of course, chatting away in Welsh, with the class of three. I was a bit late. I'll get there earlier next time, now I know which room to go to. :)
Anyways, after a few minutes of exercises, the tutor discussed the fine art of being an interpreter - a feat which is more difficult than you might think. You do have to talk over the speaker, usually in real time. And that can be incredibly difficult even if your Welsh is perfect.
And mine is not. Not by a long chalk.
Anyhow, when 'twas all over, the three other members of the class wandered off. I made my own way home, as I usually do.
It was a good lesson. And, as I have said, the first one I have had in the college building since 1998 and the first in the renamed Glyndwr College.
More next week. :)
