Obscure Abbreviations

If you've heard of the Traveller science fiction roleplaying game, you might hear of some of its supplements past. One in particular went by the name Fire, Fusion & Steel. It was a catalogue of equipment and vehicles for the game, back in the day.
Recently, the book has been cropping up on the Citizens of the Imperium Traveller fan forum, in connection with the Civilian Vehicles and Military Vehicles supplements for Mongoose Traveller. All well and good.
Only, they're using the abbreviation FFS.
I keep telling them to use an ampersand - thus, FF&S - but they will not listen. Nor are they quite cognizant, apparently, with the reason for my subsequent uncontrolled laughter.

Date: 2010-03-28 09:14 pm (UTC)As in "FFS not more errata" or "FFS the weights for these firearms are far too heavy, what are they making the barrels from, uranium?" It was the FFS supplement and even more so when it came to the T4 iteration FFS2.
