Yep, we've got a lot of nuts. No denying that at all. I'd say that's to be expected in a nation of 380 million folks.

Of course, we won't list the numerous nuts and crazies that have committed violent acts around the rest of the world. The US is not alone in their crazies. The mentally ill have just a strong of a foothold in other countries as they do here.

I think what makes it worse for us as a country is the large segment of our population who truly identifies themselves as American because of their view they have a God-given right to own guns. I'm of the opinion that if it weren't for this, we'd be a lot less violent. Maybe our politicians wouldn't be so afraid of gun control.

It's disgusting to see that those that make the loudest news is somehow representative of the US. There is a large segement of the population who deplores violence and lives quiet lives. We're not all gun crazy like Sarah Palin and we're not warmongers like George Bush was.

We hate what's happened and we hate that those with the most money and the loudest voices are allowed to run the country.

As much as I like President Obama...even he is incapable of dealing with this adequately.

Those from other countries are well within their rights to hate me because I'm an American. I just wish they'd hate me because I curse sometimes, or I don't clean off my desk, or anything else they may not like about me...other than I am an American.

I like this because it is so appropriate. But then, the same can be said for every country on this planet. Sadly, the whole of Earth is swarming with nuts. It's an infestation we haven't learned to get rid of yet.
