Day 2

Had to figure out where the freelance writing fits in. Easily enough. Grindwork. Level 1.
Three tiers, or levels:
- Level 1: Grindwork. Small stuff for pay. Instant, disposable. 10k words, materials for a presentation, stuff like that. Whatever pays immediate bills.
- Level 2: Commissions. Company – scale operations. The whole HBT thing. The stuff that brings me bigger cash.
- Level 3: Pleasure. The work I'd do for fun. Might not even be paying stuff. Just projects I'm putting together for the sake of it.
Copy writing, other similar tasks: Level 1.
Arranging company retreats: Level 2.
Novel, Psion book, poetry book: Level 3.

Vision

To be in such demand from my HBT business that I have a waiting list of clients, never want for work, can pick my clients and could afford to not work for a year if I needed to (or if the market dried up).

Mission

To provide clients with holistic business therapy that will either boost productivity, or restore flagging productivity.
Goals and Objectives
Need to write down goals. Make them SMART+ - Specific, Measurable, Agreed, Relevant and Timely.
Samples
1. Create, build and develop a clientele, engaging the first client within one month of starting up.
2. Develop a range of products and services, and establish a competitive pricing structure before starting up.
3. Locate venues suitable for inviting clients on retreat, before starting up.
4. Codify all current relevant resources and skills immediately.

The presenter made a business plan template available via email. Also business plan templates handed out during the lecture.

Risk analysis chart reviewed – Identify, Assess, Respond, Review.
Risk matrix introduced.

Examined though not in detail. Modern tech is 90% crap – Sturgeon's Law.

Examined at end of lecture. By which time participants felt like gouging out own eyes before continuing with exercise.
