Today's Update
Jun. 3rd, 2009 10:24 pmFirst of all, this news is for
nyghtshayde,
nice_girls_play,
lyny_wolf and a couple of others.
This news will piss off
rhionnach and. likely,
martinhazel and
tanngrisnir as well - I know it pisses me off.
Today, I got ticked off by this WAG wannabe at A4e yet again. She peremptorily dismissed me, after I came up with a brilliant idea to help her to land the job she really needs, as well as to show her colleagues that she is as professional as anyone.
So she didn't even take my idea seriously at all. So maybe her colleagues were right.
Friday, at A4e, I'm going to take along two books, which I intend to read there. A book on basic management, and "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu.
In the remainder of the month, in what is left of my time at A4e before my 13 week contract expires, I intend to be seen reading a wide variety of books. At least one will be a book on calculus and higher mathematics. But I also aim to bring in Liber Null and Psychonaut by Peter J Carroll, The Principia Discordia and Robert Greene / Joost Elffers' The 48 Laws of Power.
Finally, tonight, I was graced by Emma's presence again. Honestly, she gets it in the neck on a daily basis. She is black, and very proud of it, and I am very very proud of her; but she gets some stick from racists here and in Chester, something I really wish I could do something about. Her life is one of pain. But from that pain comes some beautiful poetry.
I'm encouraging her to get her poems published. She needs to be able to share her pain with the world. I know it will be listened to.
In the end, this is what I want as well. Just to be listened to.
Enough, now. I am off to bed. An out of town trip beckons tomorrow. Just exactly where, I won't decide until the very last minute. :)
Edit: I just realised. That bloody uninformed, ignorant horse slashing article above -- it's the damned silly season again, isn't it? >:(
