This morning
Jul. 2nd, 2010 04:21 pmSomebody came up to me on the street t'other day and started asking me questions on a mike for some recorded programme about gay people in relationships, and what I thought of the whole issue.
I replied thus:-
"It seems to me that people in a relationship, whether they be gay, straight, lesbian, bi, poly, transgendered, any kind of relationship, they all need more or less the same thing."
"You mean love."
"I mean trust, respect, support, affection, the ability to laugh at one another, make each other laugh. Mostly trust. But in all those relationships, you know the one thing they have never, ever needed, in the slightest amount?"
"What?"
"My permission. Or yours."
End of.
