I wrote a poem last week for the Wrexham Free Writers. Titled "Gnothi Seauton," I have only shared it with a very small circle. This afternoon, I recite it for the first time in public at this week's WFW.

I also decided to dig up some poetry which I'd previously published elsewhere and bring them all together. I'll do printouts later on.

Computer Identifies Most Boring Historical Day

This article may have come from the Daily Telegraph, but the funniest part is the name of the compiler of this bizarre information, namely one William Tunstall-Pedoe.

Must be one hell of a slow news day in the Daily Telegraph. Why, all this talk about the 250,000 diplomatic cables placed under public scrutiny by Wikileaks revealing what the US thought about everything seems to have been beneath the newspaper's notice today.

Already have done, on several factual TV shows and even one or two light entertainment chat shows and quiz shows.

I played myself. Somehow, that seems more amusing than any character I could portray.

Bad news, folks, coming hot on the heels of the death of Leslie Nielsen - a sad enough death on its own.

I have started getting word in that Irvin Kershner, the director of "Never Say Never Again" and "The Empire Strikes Back," aka Star Wars Episode V, has now died.

That leaves just one to go to make it three. Which celebrity or politician would you like it to be?
