If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE. When you're finished, post this little paragraph in your journal and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.

Ah, that time in frozen Leng. How was I to know she was your girl-thing? Moreover, how was I supposed to know she was a girl? That's not what she claimed. Still, in the end, I guess your response was fair and proportionate. I suppose I'm fortunate that my acolytes found enough pieces for the rites of resurrection. On that note, if - as I suspect - you kept my right bollock as a souvenir, can I have it back? Lefty misses him.

Yours affectionately,

Remember when we killed that hooker? And we used killer bees as our instrument of her demise? Totally awesome. They never caught us. Because, hey, who would use bees to kill someone?

Us. That's who. Because we rule.

Hey, if you ever want to go killing hookers with bees again, just gimme a ring.

I'm not 100% sure, because these things mutate and other people have the same idea ... but I know that I started one of these "fake memory" responses to the original meme a few years ago and I'd be most amused if this is an "echo" of that original restatement :-)

Oh, and I remember when you and I ran the 2005 worldcon all by ourselves ... weren't we surprised when we found out how easy it was! All those companies offering money and guests in order to promote their businesses, and how easy it turned out to be herding fans ... what did you do with your half of the profits anyway? I'm still driving the Ferrari but it was the cheap one of the pair so I don't feel too bad running up the mileage on that classic car.

My half of the money

A third of it went on cocaine, the second part on hookers and the rest I guess I just squandered.

...I swam the Atlantic Ocean to come hang out with you that one Midsummer? So that we could go to Stonehenge for the celebration and shag all those druids? Oh wait...or were those sheep? Sheep druids? Either way, they were really fuckin' hot, especially after you and I got shitfaced on that homemade mead I brought over with me. I dunno...maybe all that salt water pressure and plates moving around at the time underneath me while I swam gave the mead a little extra kick...but it was good shit. And that was some good sex. Wasn't it?

By God, it was good, hon. Magnificent. :) Though that little feller in black and yellow with the pied eyes kept interrupting us for some reason. I think he was just perving on us ... :D

Trickster bastard...he was perving. He's always perving.

But at least he makes things interesting.
