Hunter: the Vigil Quickstart

I got myself a copy of the Hunter: the Vigil Quickstart yesterday. Now I can drop names, at long last, such as "Task Force: VALKYRIE" and "The Cheiron Group."

I can also happily mention a whole bunch of Hunter-specific terms, such as Endowments, Tactics, Compacts, Conspiracies and so on.

Oh, the relief. :) I really must talk to Fan Boy 3 about arranging a Hunter demo game soon. Real soon.

i do like these "tactics" in theory it means that anyone from the mortals game in cam could become a hunter without too much of a problem.

do they get a supernatural stat though is the thing that i have been wondering for an age.

... if you check the Quickstart, you won't see a supernatural stat for them listed.

Their Morality stat, likewise, remains the same. Morality.

And that's because, yes, hunters stay human. They stay human and they keep it real. Well, as real as if can be for people who devote their lives to chasing ghosts and shadows.

So they are not even a minor template then.
and "theoretically" you can have a blade type scenario going on, where a vamp who dint want or ask for the embrace joins a cell and can learn tactics in order to hunt his own.

am i right?

If he didn't mind his body being the last one they stake and leave out for the sun or - if he's working with a cell of Cheiron Group or Ashwood Abbey enthusiasts - harvested for useful tissue samples.

It's around 80 Mb so it may take a bit of time to download, but if you didn't get one at FreeRPG Day this is the next best thing.
