Arthurian Legends - Through The Celeb Lens
Aug. 5th, 2008 06:57 pmJust saw the name "Brangelina" somewhere, and remembered "Bennifer" and, rather hilariously, "TomKat." In each case, they were referring to a celebrity couple via a portmanteau made up of part or all of their first names wedged together like two mismatched lumps of differently - coloured modelling clay.
I just found myself wondering what you'd have in the tabloids had they been covering the tempestuous, tumultuous sex lives and affairs of the men and women of King Arthur's Court, Camelot:-
Arthurvere? Guindragon?
Guincelot? Lancevere?
Minueh? Merlueh? Nimlin? Nerlin?
Also, the famous tragedie of Tristan and Isolde. Of course the tabs would go for a title like "Trisolde."
Wouldn't they?
